Thunderbolt was strangely nervous and a bit agressive from the very morning. And now he was just anxious and hardly could stand still, even tried to snip an assistant by the way to the field. In other words the wise and a bit snobbish horse turned into vicious dragon. He was not sick, nothing bothered him, but adrenaline just started to boil in stallion`s blood. He went into the field not walking, but almost performing some kind of passage, from time to time trying to rip off Ervin`s hands, pulling the reins hardly.
Leery tried to calm down and to get stallion`s attention, by talking with him quietly and patting his neck gently, but black giant was obsessed with will to run forward, to begin the fight.
It was so not in his manners and habits, that this made Ervin very worry about his horse, even if the doctor, who checked the animal, said, that everything is fine with him.
Rider sent his nordanner around arena in slow canter, but horse was more like to jump at one place, then run calmly and relaxed. Sea breeze brought sea gulls screaming and salt smell of the water. Bell tolled and stallion pushed forward from lightest touch like insane, pulling the reins. It was very hard to control Thunderbolt, as he even didn`t try to avoid the pressure of bits by pulling his head up. Ervin just with help of some miracle managed to turn stallion in the right directions, while this unstoppable, wild force, locked in a horse`s body was rushing thru arena on insane speeds. Thunder jumped very roughly every time, pushing every time so hard if he was going to reach the moon in one single leap.
Violet Thunder rushed down the course so fast, as the Hell itself was chasing him. When the obstacles were behind and everything was over, Ervin was not able to feel his hands, just as if he was pushing and pulling large rocks all day long. And the horse in some minutes, as by magic became quite calm and nice as always.
Leery patted his mount, trying to catch his own breath.
-Hey, lad, i was not asking you to take me to the moon or whatever. If that was the way, how you getting worry, then i`d better give you some sedative pills as a present. Crazy stud you are!
